Felt Roofing
Hello and welcome to the roofer steve website.
Basically the type of work i undertake are small domestic jobs, such as garage roofs, dormer roofs, housing extension roofs etc.
I have selected a typical job to represent the type of felt roofing work i undertake. It is a flat roof which i completed in Nottingham, an East Midlands city.
Please note that I undertake felt roofing and flat roofing work through out the entire East Midlands region, including cities such as Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and even as far away as Lincoln.The Completion of A Small Flat Roofing Project.
The original felt roof is removed. Then the perished boards are removed and replaced. Ridge tiles are carefully removed to be re-bedded later. The chase in the brick work is widened The "torch on" underlayers are applied making the roof totally water proof. Following the installation of the underlayers, the top green mineral layer is installed. Firstly a drip edged is formed and turned into the gutter. Then the flat is installed, flashings are then adhered to the brick work and tucked into the chase. Drip edges are then formed on the water check which can be seen on the roofs' edge. Once all the felt roofing is completed, the chase is pointed up, and the ridge tiles returned.
